Chile

Considering the unusual north-south extension of the country, in the case of Chile the term round trip is inappropriate.

The central parts of the country from the “Little South”, also known as the Lake Region or Araucania, to the “Little North” with its clear starry sky, green valleys and coastal national parks can easily be explored by rental car.
Domestic flights are the preferred means of transport for trips to Patagonia and the far north.
Within Patagonia an international travel route with Argentina is a good option. The same is true for the Atacama Desert and the far north of the country, which can be easily connected with the Altiplano of Bolivia (e.g. the Salar de Uyuni) and Peru.
Finally, Chile’s Easter Island is a unique part of the Polynesian cultural area in the middle of the Southeast Pacific.
