Our Great South Africa Trip leads from Cape Town and the Cape region in a wide arch to Johannesburg.
In between you will cross the different natural landscapes and cultural areas of South Africa, visit the protected areas richest in wildlife and species. You will go on a hike of several days at the foot of the Drakensberg Mountains and take beach walks in front of the surf of the Indian Ocean, enjoy the cuisine and the wines of the country, pay a visit to Swaziland and get to know cities and pretty little towns.
If you want to shorten the route – due to lack of time – or if you already know Cape Town and the so-called Garden Route (Cape Winelands, De Hoop or Plettenberg Bay), you can change the trip accordingly. For a corresponding route from Johannesburg, the picturesquely situated Clarens is the perfect prelude.
