Shortly after the former Thompkins estate within “Parque Patagonia” was turned over to the Chilean National Park Authorities, the luxury accomodation of the ‘Lodge at Valle Chacabuco’ has been incorporated into to the Explora Hotel Group, which already operates Lodges within Torres del Paine NP, San Pedro de Atacama and Rapa Nui among others.

The Lodge is located in the park administration area at the beginning of Valle Chacabuco. There are 6 rooms with private bathroom, heating, small desk and internet. There is also a bar, a lounge and a library. Recently there is an annex with 4 rooms. The restaurant is located in another building, breakfast is included in the price, as well as maps of the trails in the park.
