In the mountains of the Chiriqui Highlands, south of Amistad National Park, the Lodge at Mount Totumas is secluded in the cloud forest of the same name. All accommodations (spread over three buildings) offer private bath, hot water, electricity, internet, terraces or balconies and common areas. There is a restaurant (full board on request, but self-catering is also possible). The site borders Amistad National Park and offers 7 marked trails ranging from 1.4 km to 3.3 km in length. The longest trail (Mount Totumas Trail) is 4.3 km long and requires a guide. This lodge can confidently be called a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Arrival from Volcán only with 4×4 vehicle.
