Since mid-May 2018, Mexico’s most famous railway line, the brand new and comfortable “Chepe Express” is also available for passengers to enjoy.
It scores with comfortable seats in the two classes “ejecutiva” or “turista”, a terrace as well as a bar car and restaurant.
For more than 80 years, the Chepe, as the railway from Chihuahua to the Pacific coast is affectionately called, has crossed 37 bridges and 86 tunnels on its journey through the spectacular landscape of the Barrancas del Cobre (Copper Canyon).
Unlike the traditional “Chepe”, which continues to cover the entire route between Chihuahua and Los Mochis, the “Chepe Express” only runs on the section between El Fuerte and Creel.
Our itinerary Mexico – Copper Canyon and Baja California can be adapted to this route if you are interested.
